The Magic Nation Thing |
Ludmilla is a very minor character from The Magic Nation Thing.
Description[]
Ludmilla is the chef of the Borden family. She is described as an enormous woman with bulgy eyes and large hands and feet[1]. It is suggested that she is of Russian (or at least Slavic) descent.
She is an excellent cook, praised both by the Bordens and their friends. However, everyone seems to be uneasy around her and no one displeases her if they could help it. Abby thinks that it is because the Bordens are afraid to lose such a good cook.
Activity[]
One afternoon, Woody and Sky look for a snack in the refrigerator and spill a big pitcher of orange juice. Ludmilla appears and gets very angry. Woody escapes, but Ludmilla catches Sky and makes him sit on a stool while she is cleaning up the juice, saying that she will punish him after it. Abby enters and helps Ludmilla, then leaves with Sky. After that, Sky starts to act very friendly towards Abby.
At the end of the book, Ludmilla leaves the Bordens to work for movie stars in Beverly Hills. The Bordens try desperately to find a new cook.
